Meet the Filmmakers
Mr Tv Man
Director/Writer/Editor: Wes Smith
I spent the early years of my life chasing the dream of becoming a comic book artist, I grew up around comics and drawing for a living seemed more obtainable than being a filmmaker. Eventually hanging up my pencil for a camera when I explored photography at the end of high school, something I would put down during challenging years of my 20’s falling in and out of trouble and eventually becoming a father giving me an anchor to start taking art more seriously. Over a decade later after working in different aspects of video production, reconnecting with my best friend / co-writer and feeling confident in an idea for an ambitious project I pushed all my chips in giving birth to Mr TV Man.
Rags
Director: Luciano Talpini Aita
“We are the snakes, the wild snakes. Hatched naturally circa 2010 in San Francisco CA, Wild Snakes Productions are the no budget, under earth works of Luciano Talpini Aita, Grace Cooper and their quiver of close snakes. Musicians, videographers and visual artists in their own rights, Talpini Aita and Cooper have helmed this adorable bed of Snakes in bringing to lust the transcendent short films of WSP, creations that slither a rectilinear locomotion from the hilarious to the possessed.”
Hot and Heavy
Director/Editor: Kyle Miller
Kyle Miller is a Narrative and Documentary filmmaker from Orangevale CA, known for an unorthodox and often experimental approach to filmmaking. Kyle graduated from the film program at California State University Sacramento in 2025, and is a prominent member of the Sacramento film community. Kyle has served as a Director, Cinematographer, Production Assistant, Editor, and Sound Operator.
C/H/R/Y/S/A/L/I/S
Director: Amelia York
Amelia York is a storyteller looking to capture all of the aspects of identity- the good, the bad, and the ugly - on film. Having been born and raised in Sacramento and recently earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Film & Digital Media from UC Santa Cruz, York plans to bring the technical craft and creative ways of thinking she adopted in her college town scene to her home town scene. With an Fan Favorite Submission award from the Santa Cruz Television Film Festival for "Barnyard Tango" and "C/H/R/Y/S/A/L/I/S" having starred as an Official Selection for the Sacramento Midnight Film Festival, York is eager to continue sharing what she has to say about gender, sexuality, and finding out who you are with new projects and festivals to come.
The Band
Sugar Pushers
POOOOF!! A purple cloud of smoke and bats dissipates. Behold! The Sugar Pushers have crossed the veil! Taking corporeal form as Count Abel, Dr. Bog, Pooka, and The Muck, The Sugar Pushers have been haunting the streets of Northern California for half a decade, playing all original haunted hymns that are equal parts caramel apple, eye of newt, hexed theremin, and a bag full of black cats. They rise from their graves as the fall winds blow to spook your socks off with their raucous refrains. Once the last leaf has fallen, they retreat to the netherworld and slumber until the following year.
